Sponsored By the Mount Dora Area Chamber of Commerce

The 40th Anniversary of the Mount Dora Bicycle Festival promises to be the best one in AGES! Having undergone an extreme make over of the physical property that encases the Chamber of Commerce, adjacent park and fresh new faces at the Chamber there is much excitement surrounding the big anniversary.

Join us as we celebrate forty years of cycling in lovely Mount Dora! New routes, and tweaks to some of the old time favorite routes, will also add special flare to the three days of cycling.

Friday morning rides kick off the festival as our guides from the "We Must Be Crazy" cycling club lead various exploration rides to visit historic and beautiful parts of Lake County. Friday evening ends with a special treat (details forthcoming.)

Saturday morning begins bright and early with the "Century Ride". Once those riders are seen off, rides of varying distances bring our guests back to the Chamber throughout the day.

After your ride, be sure to patronize our many fantastic restaurants within walking distance of down town. Also, plan on spending your Saturday evening at the Street Party with friendly competitions, contests and games, live entertainment and even more fun.

Sunday’s routes will start early and wrap up around lunch time so that you can get back on the road if need be –and wrap up the weekend with hotdogs on the grill and an ice cream social!

Stay tuned for new routes to be posted!

We are in the process of designing new and exciting routes through beautiful Lake County. Some of the old favorites will be tweaked and some will be brand new. Check back from time to time to see downloadable routes the members of the "We Must Be Crazy" cycling club have come up with.

40th Anniveersary Bicycle Festival Wines from The Wine Den

The Wine Den is very proud to present to you two exquisite wines with a cool theme for the
40th Anniversary Mount Dora Bicycle Festival

Rouleur Red

A “Rouleur” is a French term for a rider that has a very smooth pedaling action,
who is capable of riding at a steady tempo over long distances. This red wine delivers
several of the same characteristics, very smooth with flavors lasting from first sip to finish.

Bidon Blanc

Bidon Blanc, Bidon is a French term for water bottle. While we’re not drinking water here, this white blend is a crisp and well balanced white wine that is great to sip by itself on a warm October afternoon in Florida or have with fresh Florida seafood.

The wines, like our festival, are unique and special wines hand selected by The Wine Den with the help of several of Florida’s top wine sommeliers and represent a great value in wine while the commemorative labels offer a lasting reminder of the good times had and the great friends met at the 40th Mount Dora Bicycle Festival.
