Friday: Bakery Ride Extension RIDE THIS ROUTE WITH DAVID & YVETTE SANBORN OF DWC!
7:30 am start : This will soon become one of the favorites of MDBF. By taking the famous Bakery route and adding 47 miles to it in another direction will give you a change of scenery and take you on some roads you may have not ever visited before in Mount Dora. You will follow the Bakery Ride markers until mile 52 when the non-century Bakery riders will turn left onto Dora Avenue. Roads will be marked thoroughly and you will follow the same Orange Triangle but it will now have a red X inside, letting you know that you are now going to find another 47 miles ahead of you. There will be six rest stops along the way, and if you choose to stop at the Bakery that is another one; bring some extra cash for their goodies. Be ready to sit a while; the Bakery is famous for being typical European… in no rush.
Open and closure times for each Rest Stop will be printed on cue sheets handed out at Check In. This route has several roads with little to no shoulder and is used by large trucks. Use caution and ride single file on these sections for your own safety.
